Why People Love This Ankle Brace for Swimming and Other Water Sports

  1. Wrap-Around Design Is Easy to Apply and Adjust

This hassle-free, wrap-around recovery ankle brace can be worn interchangeably on your right or left ankle.

As an added benefit, it’s constructed out of medical-grade fasteners, making the closures 10 times stronger and longer-lasting than the retail-grade fastener ankle braces, you will find at your local drugstore.

  2. Finally, an Ankle Brace That Fits Inside Your Shoe

This discreet black ankle wrap is low-profile, lightweight, and only 3/16” thick, making it not too flashy and flat enough to fit under your favorite shoes. However, it’s still thick enough to provide adequate compression and support.

Plus, if you find athletic tape, solid ankle sleeves, or ACE bandages sweaty and/or uncomfortable, this brace is definitely a better fit for you. The relatively open design of this ankle wrap leaves your heel and forefoot open, making your foot less likely to overheat, while still giving your ankle the support it needs.

The extra support provided by this elastic ankle brace allows some athletes suffering from sports-related injuries to continue their normal fitness routine, rather their working out on land or in the water.

  4. Neoprene Ankle Brace Is Water Resistant

Whether you are engaging in an activity that takes place primarily in the water (think water polo, swimming, scuba diving), spending time in and out of the water (surfing, wakeboarding, bodyboarding, wind boarding, skiing, diving), or could simply use the convenience of a water-compatible ankle support (sailing, rowing, etc.), this swimming ankle support is a great option.

  5. Reduces Swelling and Promotes Healing

The premium-grade, neoprene material provides compression and targeted heat retention to improve circulation around your sore ankle, which reduces swelling and encourages blood flow to speed up your healing process.

What is the Difference Between a Twisted Ankle, a Rolled Ankle, and a Sprained Ankle?

The terms ‘twisted ankle’, ‘rolled ankle’, and ‘sprained ankle’ can all basically be used to describe the same thing. The outcome is the same, but the way you got the injury may differ. With a 'rolled' ankle, it is more likely that you will injure the lateral side of your ankle. If you 'twist' your ankle, the side of the ankle injured may differ, but it is still most common to injure the lateral side. If you still have more questions about the differences, we have a very detailed blog!

    Fantastic product

I am so pleased with my ankle braces. I work as a swim instructor and lifeguard and have weak ankles. They tend to roll in the water and get tired easily walking on the pool deck. These braces are waterproof and have velcro that is not easily removable, which are both requirements I needed in this product. My ankles no longer roll or get tired. Anyone working in the swim instructor and lifeguard industry needs these if they have any type of ankle issue. They are perfect for the water and absolutely fantastic!

    Ankle brace doing its job

I like this ankle brace very much. I have a tendency to roll my right ankle all the time and so far so good. No ankle roll. Brace is comfortable, light weight and supports my ankle very well.

    Knee brace too big

I recently bought an ankle brace and knee brace. I love the ankle brace! Fits great, good support and comfortable. The knee brace is way too big. I measured my leg and ordered based on the size chart but it’s one or two sizes too big and I can’t use it.

    Great for my swimmer!

My son is a competitive high school swimmer. He sprained his ankle and is trying to practice without putting undo strain on the sore ligaments. We purchased this brace to give him added support while pulling (not kicking, yet). He said it made all the difference at practice and didn't get water-logged to drag him too much. We are very happy with the purchase and haven't seen any other brace like it on the market. Love it!
