Plus, if you find athletic tape, solid ankle sleeves, or ACE bandages sweaty and/or uncomfortable, this brace is definitely a better fit for you. The relatively open design of this ankle wrap leaves your heel and forefoot open, making your foot less likely to overheat, while still giving your ankle the support it needs.
The extra support provided by this elastic ankle brace allows some athletes suffering from sports-related injuries to continue their normal fitness routine, rather their working out on land or in the water.
Whether you are engaging in an activity that takes place primarily in the water (think water polo, swimming, scuba diving), spending time in and out of the water (surfing, wakeboarding, bodyboarding, wind boarding, skiing, diving), or could simply use the convenience of a water-compatible ankle support (sailing, rowing, etc.), this swimming ankle support is a great option.
The premium-grade, neoprene material provides compression and targeted heat retention to improve circulation around your sore ankle, which reduces swelling and encourages blood flow to speed up your healing process.
The terms ‘twisted ankle’, ‘rolled ankle’, and ‘sprained ankle’ can all basically be used to describe the same thing. The outcome is the same, but the way you got the injury may differ. With a 'rolled' ankle, it is more likely that you will injure the lateral side of your ankle. If you 'twist' your ankle, the side of the ankle injured may differ, but it is still most common to injure the lateral side. If you still have more questions about the differences, we have a very detailed blog!
Similar to the wetsuits scuba divers wear, this open ankle wrap is unique because it’s made out of premium-grade 3/16” thick neoprene, which is water-resistant. Meaning, this ankle brace able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely.

My daughter loves how comfortable and supportive these braces are. Years of wearing those hard AFOs, due to years of surgeries. These braces are a welcoming relief.
Very professional service. Product helps with swimming while ankle is broken.
I purchased 2... I have ankle pronation and plantar fasciitis. I attend water fitness classes including water running and these are holding up in the water great.
Not really big enough for a person with larger ankles
I love this ankle brace. It’s comfortable and not bulky while being supportive. I’ve been using it to help treat my Achilles tendinitis. I even use it to hold ice gel packs on my heel. I’m considering getting another one too!
