It is widely acknowledged that a combination of cold and heat therapy is the optimum approach for dealing with swelling, pain, and accelerating healing. Our hot and cold therapy wrap comes with two medical-grade, reusable gel packs for back pain which can be frozen into ice packs, or heated in the microwave.
Compression and ice / heat therapy provided by this innovative back brace helps treat and ease back pain caused by:
It is important to distinguish whether you should use heat for lower back pain or ice as they work in different ways. For example, heat can make inflammation worse, while ice can worsen muscle spasms or tension. Therefore, how to treat back muscle spasms differs from torn back muscle treatment.
Ice and cold therapy treatment is typically used during the first 48 hours following an injury. Using an ice pack for lower back pain slows the flow of blood to an injury site. The reduced circulation reduces lower back muscle inflammation and discomfort. Therefore, you might consider using this back support with an ice pack after injuries that cause bruising or swelling. Those with a sprained, strained, or pulled back muscle can also benefit from cold therapy.
Once the swelling is gone, typically 48 hours after an injury, heat therapy is often used for pain relief, improving blood circulation to promote healing, and helping relax tight muscles. This heat wrap for back pain opens up your blood vessels, which increases blood flow and the stream of oxygen and nutrients to your joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc. Those seeking back muscle spasm relief, looking to soothe sore muscles, or treat arthritis might benefit from this back heat wrap.
Our therapeutic back wrap makes it easy to apply either type of therapy directly to your sore back. The heated pad or cooling back brace can be applied to your injured back for 20 minutes at a time. Simply allow your skin temperature to return to normal before reapplying. However, it is always a good idea to consult a medical professional for specific cold or hot treatment instructions.
Hot and cold therapy for back pain is a common and effective method of treatment for numerous injuries, with the benefit being that it is non-invasive, non-addictive and inexpensive. This innovative cold / hot therapy back band has several additional features that make it stand out from ice packs, heating pads, and other warm / cool back wraps on the market.
Created to provide supportive relief and freedom of movement for any lifestyle and body type, our heat and ice therapy lower back wrap holds your heated pad or ice pack in place so you don’t have to!
While an electric heating pad or ice pack for back pain is a surprisingly simple and inexpensive mode of treatment for things such as a pulled muscle in the lower back, the actual application can be challenging. Our back brace with heat pads can be worn anytime; while participating in physical activity, at work, or when completely at rest.
This unique thermal back support includes two non-toxic, reusable hot / cold gel packs and pockets. Just place the non-toxic gel packs in the freezer or heat them in the microwave. Once heated or cooled, insert the Corflex cryotherm gel packs into the pockets and wrap the brace around you to benefit from temperature therapy. Heat promotes healing while cold therapy reduces inflammation.
This is an excellent alternative to icy / hot pain relief patches, which only offer single-use hot or cold therapy. We also sell extra ice/hot gel packsso you can always keep two in the freezer while using the other pair.
