Kids Arm Sling | Childs Cast Holder for Broken Wrists & Shoulder Support

  Safe & Secure

Is This Kids Arm Sling Right for Your Child?

When one or more of the bones of the arm have been cracked, that is considered a broken arm. This is a very common injury, especially among children. In kids, broken forearms are the second most common type of break, second only to fractured collarbones.

An injured arm requires constant rest as well as care. This arm sling is committed to providing effective relief, helping unload the weight of a heavy plaster cast while your child recuperates. It also provides a sign to others to treat your child’s arm gently.

How Does It Work?

The ergonomic, patented design gives kids and toddlers the freedom to wear it in a variety of ways, depending on what is needed for their specific injury or break. It is universal, allowing the sling to be worn over either shoulder and on either arm.

When applied, it holds your child’s arm at the level you adjust it to, allowing it to heal in the proper orientation. Looking for complete shoulder immobilization or an arm restraint? Check out our Pediatric Shoulder Immobilizer for broken clavicles, collarbone fractures, and more!

This Children's Arm Sling vs. Traditional Medical Slings

Many children receive a “traditional” or “basic” sling following a visit to the hospital or doctor. This shoulder support strap will perform a similar task as those basic youth arm slings, but with many added benefits! Talk to your child’s doctor and find out if this brace is right for them.

6 Advantages of This Pediatric Sling for Broken Arms

  1. Unique, Patented Design

This design is the most versatile sling on the market. Truly a breakthrough in the orthopedic world, since it is the first sling that can be worn over your kid’s injured or non-injured side. When using a traditional, arm cradle sling, children often complain about their “good” side hurting due to the strap pressure. With this patented sling, they can now switch it from side to side. Plus, this brace leaves your child’s elbow free, eliminating the risk of elbow irritation.

  2. Non-Irritating to Neck and Shoulders

Regular slings support your child’s arm by putting pressure on the side of their neck, which after some wear can be painful and irritating. This strap moves that pressure over to your child's shoulder and can switch sides to your other shoulder so that one shoulder isn’t forced to support that burden alone.

  3. Cooler than Solid Slings

The low-profile design is also much more freeing than an average, traditional sling. It leaves your child’s arm uncovered to avoid overheating. Ideal for hot weather and playing, allowing fresh air to reach your child’s injured arm. Specially designed with all-day wear in mind, it is made of a soft elastic material, which is comfortable next to the skin. The elastic strap uses medical-grade fasteners and a heavy-duty metal buckle, ensuring they will hold strong throughout the day.

  4. Waterproof Arm Sling

Perhaps “waterproof” isn’t the best phrasing, as this sling will still absorb water. However, it is water-friendly, meaning it is safe to get wet. Great to wear in the shower, bath, pool, and at the beach!

  5. Universal Fit

It can be worn on the right or left arm, suitable for young boys and girls. The one size fits most style is designed to fit kids ranging from 3’5” to 5’5” tall. If a bigger size is needed, check out our Adult Shoulder Sling.

  6. Easy Adjustment

It can be very difficult to put a shoulder sling on your child, especially post-surgery or with a painful injury. One of the greatest parts of this brace is that, unlike many arm slings, it is fully adjustable with just one hand. This strap system can be quickly adjusted throughout the day to change the size and fit of both the shoulder strap and wrist strap.
