The foam pressure pad support insert is designed to help reduce back pain in patients by increasing pressure to the area in pain. It is to be used inside of back braces for additional comfort and support. This pressure pad is made of a soft, lightweight, cushioned neoprene material made breathable for all-day use and can help to accelerate the healing process.
Padded Pressure Support for Back Pain
The padded back pain support is ideal for those who are experiencing uncomfortable back pain specifically in the lumbar or lower back region. The neoprene material adds to the comfort of this back pad support allowing for patients to wear for long periods of time. It is a latex free material for those who are allergic. Purchasing the proper back brace is important in order for the foam pad support to be placed in and provide better support and pressure.
The application process for this foam pressure pad support is very simple. A back brace, such as the lumbar support brace, is necessary in order for the pressure pad to work properly. Once the lumbar back brace is purchased and in hand, you will place the pressure pad into the pocket of the back brace. The pocket where the pressure pad is to be placed is located in the back of the brace and attached with a little Velcro square at the top. The side of the lumbar brace with 2" thick straps should be facing away from you. Then, with the gray side of the pressure pad facing you, place the pad into the back brace pocket. To apply the brace to you, put the padded area on your back; bring the left side of the support to the middle of your stomach. Then, pull the right side towards the middle and attach the Velcro ends. Adjust as needed.
See BraceAbility for a cold pack support that can be placed in the lumbar back brace.
Pressure Pad and Back Pain
The pressure pad can cover a wide area of the lower back. Wearing a foam pad with your back brace helps to better stabilize and bring more pressure to the area in pain. By providing more pressure, back pain can be minimized in a decent amount of time depending on the injury.
There are many different indications that a back brace and pressure pad may be worn for including:

- Stabilize back

- Additional comfort
It is a very low-profile pressure pad meaning it is not bulky and can be worn under clothing or however the patient prefers. The extra support of the pressure pad allows for patients to be better stabilized and mobile while also improving their posture.
