The BORT OmoFX is a uniquely designed immobilization device for the shoulder and/or arm. It places the shoulder joint in 30 degrees of external rotation (abduction) securely, to create the best possible environment to promote efficient healing and protection. Designed by the German medical supply company, BORT, this device is the culmination of expert research and collaboration of functionality, comfort and stability.
The BORT OmoFX Deluxe Shoulder Immobilizer is indicated for:
- Rotator cuff repairs
- Shoulder separation
- Arthroscopic surgical procedures
- Bankart repair
- Shoulder dislocation
At first glance, it's clear that the BORT OmoFX is unlike other shoulder immobilization devices. The entire structure of the device is covered in soft velour fabric, which provides a great deal of comfort and wicks moisture away from the skin. The waist pad is contoured, to provide stability above the elbow and comfort at the waist. It is also has an open design, with supports at the elbow and wrist, which provides air flow to the entire arm. The straps of the BORT OmoFX are situated around the waist and over the opposite shoulder, which are also padded and covered in soft velour. Velcro closures, located on the straps and on the arm supports, make adjusting the device easy.

It is important to note that the BORT OmoFX is made in two sizes, for patients under 5'5” and those who are over 5'5”. The device is designed for one side of the body only, so be sure to select either left or right before completing your order.
