Maximum Support for Arthroplasty Surgery Recovery
Possibly the greatest security available following an arthroplasty or similar elbow surgery is the Corflex Elbow Orthosis with Range of Motion (ROM) Hinge. This powerfully protective brace has two anatomically designed shells covering the humeral (upper) and ulnar (lower) sections of the arm, which provide absolute protection from impacts and other possible damage. The two shells are connected with a secure and easily adjustable range of motion hinge. Some of the overall features of the Corflex Elbow Orthosis are:
- Rigid polyethylene laminated shells with a closed-foam lining for easy cleaning
- Easily adjustable and secure range of motion hinge
- Easily washable stockinette undersleeves for comfort and hygiene
Specifically Fitted for Recovery from Arthroscopy or Other Procedures
The Corflex Elbow Orthosis comes in three sizes in order to accommodate all patients. These measurements are taken for both sections of the arm, in order to best fit the Corflex Elbow Orthosis to the patient’s anatomy. In addition, the Orthosis is unique between right and left arms due to the anatomically-based design of the shells. Typically, the sizes only determine fit based on circumference of the arms, as the Orthosis is easily adjustable for length due to the adjustable range of motion hinge.
Recovery Protection After Arthroscopy, Arthroplasty, Bursitis
As the protection offered by the Corflex Elbow Orthosis is designed for use during surgical recovery, it is rarely used for prevention or treatment of less serious conditions. Its high level of security and adjustable range of motion is ideal for the recovery from a variety of elbow related procedures, including:
- Arthroscopy
- Arthroplasty
- Epicondylitis surgery (both golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow)
- Bursitis
- Trauma reconstruction
- Other invasive surgical procedures of the elbow
- Injury
