Pneumatic walking boot
This durable compression boot is designed to protect and compress the ankle/foot region. It is specifically used to protect and support the foot and ankle that is experiencing pain. The many great features of the pneumatic boot can help patients stay mobile and lead them to a healthy recovery.
There are many beneficial aspects provided on the Pneumatic walking boot. The wider foot bed of the cam walker boot allows for a more comfortable fit for all day wear. Air cells are provided on the foot/ankle boot helping to easily adjust the compression to the affected area. The pressure of the air cells on the foot is helpful in reducing swelling and pain while also providing stability. The open toe design of this compression boot helps provide a more breathable fit for patients. This allows for the toes to be mobile at all times. For more support, Polymer upright struts are located on the sides of the Pneumatic splint to help the boot contour to the patient's leg. The deluxe foam liner, attached to the inside of the boot, creates a soft and comfortable fit. It is a flexible, lightweight material making it durable for all day use. Another component of the walking foot brace is the arching rocker design that helps to improve function. This design provides a smooth gait that takes less energy making it easier to walk around when wearing the boot after an injury to the foot. Velcro straps are also included on this product to help provide a secure fit. The straps can be easily adjusted allowing for a simple and quick application and removal process.
Applying the Pneumatic walker boot is very simple. First, remove liner and place your foot inside, then tuck the extra piece of foam around your ankle. Fasten the liner with the closures. If needed, put the extra pads in. Place the wrapped foot into the boot. Fasten all the straps, starting at the bottom. Place the extra straps in the middle of the boot. To inflate the air cell pressure, push the red bulb until you reach necessary compression. To deflate, push the black button under the bulb and the pressure will decrease.
Short Pneumatic Boot Conditions
This short pneumatic walking boot is indicated for less serious injuries including stress fractures, foot or ankle sprains, diabetic ulcers and post bunion surgery. Finding the proper splint to help recover from an injury is important. The pneumatic walker boot is an affordable and durable brace that will protect and support the injured foot/ankle. It is an ideal brace for those who are looking to be mobile while recovering. The foot splint can help relieve pressure from the foot/ankle, therefore, helping to improve recovery time.
By applying the needed compression to an injury, swelling and pain can be minimized. BraceAbility offers many products to help relieve pain and support the area undergoing pain. A popular product similar to the pneumatic cam walker boot is the broken toe boot which offers the support and protection one needs after injuring the toes or foot.
